Kirsty Coupland graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiology from Edinburgh University in 1994 before completing an MSc in Rehabilitation Science at Glasgow Caledonian University in 1998, to become a fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapist.
She has extensive experience in treating sports injuries and musculoskeletal disorders, in people of all ages, both within the NHS and private sector and has been involved in the assessment and treatment of all levels of sports people from the recreational athlete to those in professional sports, including football, rugby, tennis and basketball.
Kirsty has a specific interest in identifying and addressing movement problems to aid rehabilitation and prevent recurrence of injuries as well as the treatment and prevention of work related disorders.
Kirsty is also a fully qualified APPI Pilates instructor and will often incorporate Pilates exercises into her treatment plans.
Kirsty’s interests include yacht racing, in which she competes both nationally and internationally, skiing, mountain biking and torturing herself at the gym!
